Through analyzing the poem Snake which is praiseworthy and endowed with rich symbolic meanings, the author is in an attempt to explore the psychological and ecological conflicts revealed in it, so as to have a better understanding about the perplexity overwhelmed in the civilized society during the Industrial Revolution period.
