γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (hereinafter referred to as γ-GT) is a kind of serum transpeptidase, which is a major enzyme reflecting the diseases of the biliary tract and bile duct. Clinically, viral hepatitis patients often make this test, as one of the differential diagnosis and prognosis basis. In practical application, we conducted a gamma-GT test on patients with viral hepatitis who were hospitalized in the third ward of our hospital in 1981 and briefly discussed their clinical significance. The summary is as follows: I. Case source: A total of 34 patients were diagnosed as viral hepatitis and hospital treatment. 20 cases were diagnosed as acute jaundice hepatitis, 3 cases were misdiagnosed, 5 cases were chronic persistent hepatitis and 6 cases were acute exacerbation of chronic hepatitis.
