路由协议是影响现代通信网络质量的关键。对于承载实时应用系统的IP通信网络,要求路由协议具备快速收敛、较小的端到端时延、高可靠性等能力。本文利用OPNET仿真工具,分析当前IP通信网络中应用最为广泛的OSPF和EIGRP路由协议,分别设计了采用OSPF、EIGRP以及同时存在OSPF与EIGRP的三个仿真实验场景,并模拟设备出现故障的情形,比较OSPF和EIGRP路由协议在这些仿真场景下的收敛性、端到端时延、可靠性等方面的差别。仿真结果显示,EIGRP的收敛时间比OSPF快5倍以上,EIGRP和OSPF同时存在时的时延抖动优于EIGRP或OSPF。
Routing protocols are the key to the quality of modern communication networks. For IP communication networks carrying real-time application systems, routing protocols are required to have fast convergence, small end-to-end delay, and high reliability. This paper uses OPNET simulation tool to analyze the most widely used OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols in the current IP communication network. We design three simulation scenarios using OSPF, EIGRP and OSPF and EIGRP respectively, and simulate the situation of equipment failure. Compare the difference between OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols in these simulation scenarios, end-to-end delay, reliability and so on. The simulation results show that EIGRP converges more than five times faster than OSPF, and the delay jitter of EIGRP and OSPF is better than EIGRP or OSPF.
