The so-called legacy of World War II refers to issues that have not yet been fundamentally solved because of the Second World War. The study of historical scholars in China on the legacy of World War II (mainly the legacy of Japan’s invasion of China) started in the mid-1980s and begun to take shape by the end of the 20th century. In the new century, as new issues, new materials and new achievements continue to emerge, the research is more mature and in-depth. This not only greatly expands the field of research on the history of World War II, but also provides a historical basis for promoting a reasonable solution to the issue left over from the war and has a positive and practical significance. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascist war, the author made a comprehensive review and review of the relevant research results of the domestic historians since 2000 in order to make a staged summary of the research progress and characteristics in this field.
