Objective: To discuss the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy on recurrent upper respiratory tract infection in children. Methods: Forty-two children with recurrent upper respiratory tract infection admitted to our hospital from January 2015 to January 2016 were selected and randomly divided into two groups: treatment group and control group, with 21 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine treatment, and the treatment group was treated according to the traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Including: Sanv Moxibustion, Chiropractic, Yupingfeng powder particles oral. The clinical effect of these two groups before and after treatment was compared. Results: The two groups of data were analyzed, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96%, significantly higher than 67% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The levels of inflammatory cytokines after treatment in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The inflammatory cytokines in the treatment group after treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). After treatment, the levels of T cells and subpopulations in peripheral blood of the treatment group were significantly higher than those before treatment and after the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The comprehensive clinical treatment of children with recurrent upper respiratory tract infection has obvious clinical effect, which can improve cellular immunity and humoral immune function in the course of treatment, and further reduce the damage of inflammatory cytokines.
