This article describes three different applications for installing expansion tube subsidies in a 5in production casing. The 2530-ft and 8380-ft prostheses were installed during the pre-rig tests of the Wyoming and Texas 2 gas wells that had been shut-in due to corrosion leaks. The third repair application in the new wells, 205ft of repair pipe to repair due to perforating holes caused by misoperation. All 3 wells successfully passed the pressure test and can be acidified and fractured. At the bottom of the tailpipe consisting of conventional petroleum tubing (OCTG), this product provides a high strength, large diameter expansion seal system. The unique feature of the system is that the mandrel is unfolded in a single piece with the sealing system, subjecting it to the same internal pressure and crush pressure as a conventional OC-TG tail pipe. The power of the hydraulic setting tool pushes the expanding mandrel into the subsidized body, and its power is delivered by the high pressure, small displacement pump via the working string. Originally developed as a single start-up, the product has been simplified to improve reliability and is now ready for drill-down operations twice. First, install the bottom expansion seal and polished hole seat, and then insert the isolation pipe with the upper seal into the lower polishing hole seat. The upper seal system expands and seals. The versatility of this product is that the upper expansion seal system provides a polished hole seat to allow tailpipes, production tubing or other patches to be patched back. This article focuses on the construction design and job construction, including casing inspection logging, problems encountered, system improvements and better application results.
