Shanghai Cable TV has opened 11 channels and will broadcast and launch some new channels in the future. Due to channel resource limitations, cable systems have had to enable supplemental channels to deliver programs such as the two Z-5 and Z-7 supplemental channels currently enabled (“Z ” for additional channels). There are 68 standard television channels in the full channel frequency range (48.5-958 MHz), but the spectrum between the channels is not contiguous and varies between 5-6 and 12-13 channels
