Daisy written in the female movement in the Western world when suddenly arises. In the face of the fact that women were subjected to the oppression and the social changes brought about by the women’s movement, Lawrence was caught in contradictions. However, through the study of the appearance, fate and ending of the daisy in the novel, we can find that Laurence concludes with sorrow to the ending of the female movement with a male ecological criticism. Lawrence used daisies as a symbol of social rights that he agreed with women, but should not attempt to replace male status. Women and men should conscientiously follow the laws of nature and try their best to maintain the balance of the human society.
