二十年代中期,我在保定上中学。学校有一个月刊,文艺栏刊登学生的习作。我的国文老师谢先生是海音社的诗人,他出版的诗集,只有现在的袖珍月历那样大小,诗集的名字已经忘记了。这证明他是五四以后,从事新文学运动的人物,但他教课,却喜欢讲一些中国古代的东西。另有一个特别的地方,是他从预备室走出来,除去眼睛总是望看天空,就是挟着一大堆参考书。到了课室,把参考书放在教桌上,也很少看他检阅,下课时又照样搬走,直到现在,我也没想通他这是所为何来。 In the mid 1920s, I was in Baoding middle school. The school has a monthly magazine published in literary columns students practice. Mr. Xie, my teacher of Chinese, is a poet of the Haiyin Society.
