不久前去世的王益老先生,是以一名生活书店练习生身份步入我国出版界的。他后来曾担任新华书店总店总经理、出版总署发行事业管理局副局长、文化部出版事业管理局局长、国家出版局副局长等职,有着丰富的图书发行经验和扎实的出版理论素养。在他从事出版活动的60多年里,他积极为我国出版事业的改革与发展献计献策,是我国出版体制改革的主要倡导者和主要组织者。 Mr. Wang Yi-lao, who died not long ago, started his career as a life bookstore practitioner in China’s publishing field. He later served as general manager of Xinhua Bookstore Head Office, Deputy Director General of Publishing Administration of Press Administration, Director of Publication Management Department of Ministry of Culture, Deputy Director of National Bureau of Publications, and so on. He has rich experience in publishing books and possesses solid publishing theoretical accomplishments. In the more than 60 years he engaged in publishing activities, he actively offered suggestions for the reform and development of China’s publishing industry, which was the main advocate and major organizer of the reform of publishing system in our country.
