If you are often lingering on the Internet, you may have heard of the term “geek.” “Geek ” comes from the transliteration of American slang “geek ”, generally understood as eccentric people. Today, with the rise of the Internet culture, “geeks” already contain the semantics of intellectual excellence and hard work, and are used to describe people who are passionate about computers and web technologies and spend a lot of time studying them. Geeks often have a strong belief in the power of science and technology. They freely move beyond the mainstream of society and advocate freedom, technology and creativity. Nowadays, the well-known geeks are Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Apple founder Steve Jobs.
