回顾垂直分辨率的标准定义,阐述因临近地层对仪器响应的影响难以使用这些早期的定义准确确定侧向类测井仪器的垂直分辨率。针对侧向测井仪器,建议采用一种行之有效的定义,即垂直分辨率定义为地层中心视电阻率曲线随层厚变薄快速偏离仪器响应电阻率背景包络拐点的层厚。该定义是基于随钻侧向测井层厚响应的数值模拟结果和仪器响应的物理学理解。按此定义,演示了随钻侧向测井仪器的垂直分辨率可由电流测量电极的物理尺寸精确确定。
Looking back to the standard definition of vertical resolution, it is difficult to use these earlier definitions to accurately determine the vertical resolution of lateral logging tools because of the influence of the adjacent formation on the instrument response. For lateral logging tools, it is recommended to adopt a well-defined definition that the vertical resolution is defined as the apparent resistivity curve at the center of the formation thinning with the thickness of the layer quickly deviating from the resistivity of the instrument. This definition is based on the numerical simulations of the response of the logging lateral wellbore and the physical understanding of the instrument response. This definition demonstrates that the vertical resolution of a logging-while-drilling tool can be accurately determined by the physical dimensions of the current-measuring electrode.
