2006年底我进入频道外汇组实习时,外汇评论员孟一送了我一本Bernard Baumohl写的《经济指标解读》。当时我有些困惑,我又不是要从事统计工作,也不是什么经济学专家,了解甚至解读经济数据对我来说将是一件枯燥、晦涩的事情。但是,在随后四年来的外汇市场分析报道工作中,我深刻的体会到,这些多如繁星的经济数据,就是经济现况乃至未来发展的晴雨表。谁能够先从中看出端倪,谁就能够把握投资先机。 At the end of 2006, when I entered the internship in the Channel Foreign Exchange Department, the exchange commentator Meng Yi sent me a “Economic Indicator Interpretation” written by Bernard Baumohl. At that time, I was somewhat confused. I was not engaged in statistical work nor was it an economic expert. It would be boring and obscure to understand and interpret the economic data. However, in the course of the following four years of analyzing and reporting on the foreign exchange market, I have come to realize that these stellar economic data are a barometer of economic status and even future development.
