Chinese ancient music and Western music is a major achievement of extra-curricular Sinology. In recent years, although more and more scholars begin to pay attention to this phenomenon, they are either single, fragmented, or discussed more often through the process of the music itself. They seldom link the related objects to focus on the cultural distortion after the ancient music was spread. Placing it in the context of the development of Sinology throughout the whole territory and its feedback history of modern Chinese history. With the help of three Chinese sinologists like Qian Deming, Percy and Gallope, who have been influential in the West since the 18th century, and Chinese music (including music and dance), the article reviews their different contributions to the extraterritorial spread of Chinese ancient music At the same time, it analyzes the background of the history of Sinology presented by this phenomenon and teaches the scholars both at home and abroad in recent years.
