Objective: To find out the distribution of hook flies in the reservoir area, the level of antibody and the distribution of bacteria in the population. Methods: Microscopic agglutination test. Results: In 1998, 513 serum samples from healthy people were collected from 7 disease surveillance sites in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. The positive rate of leptospira antibody was 165 (positive rate was 32.16%). The positive rate of each antibody was 11.11% ~ 50 .0 0%. Antibodies positive rate has nothing to do with gender, but closely related with age. The population of the reservoir area contains 9 groups of hooks serum antibodies, mainly to hemorrhagic jaundice. Gonococcal bacteria GMT value is not high. Conclusion: The immunocompromised leptospira population in the reservoir area is low, so it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring and control of leptospirosis
