Based on the detailed analysis for the process of modern aviation maintenance and its technical information support, this paper describes the maintenance information as an integrated one with hierarchical feature, and presents the concept, principle, and the architecture of Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS). Finally, this paper discusses some promising functions on the environment of integrated maintenance information, including the interactive electronic technical manuals, dynamic diagnostic aids, remote parts orders and maintenance management decision-making, etc.
