无土养兰给人们一个启示:使用大粒级的基质后,植株长势喜人。能否将这一成果用到土培上去呢?笔者用不同粒级的土对4盆兰草做了试验,结果发现,盆兰中烂根的多少与土中小于1毫米粒级的土的含量成正相关。经分析体会有一: 1.顺天性(即兰根的好“气”性),方能养好兰兰根与一般植物的根在构造上有不同之处,即海绵状的根被组织充满着水分和空气(尤其是附生兰的气根,靠吸收空气中的水分和养分赖以维生),因此根部要不断地有新鲜空气供给才好。如一旦根被组织中的微孔被粉尘、污物所堵塞,兰根就不能正常呼吸,日久便会烂根。 2.根部过湿,则易烂根 整
