Heterocyclic azobenzoic acids are a newly developed colorimetric reagent that has been used for photometric determination of nickel and has achieved high sensitivity and good selectivity. However, in the current highly sensitive method for the photometric determination of nickel, the allowable amount of iron is small and it is not possible to measure the trace amount of nickel in a sample with a high iron content directly in the aqueous phase. In order to further improve the spectrophotometric determination of nickel selectivity, we use 4,5-dimethyl-2-aminothiazole as a precursor, synthesized a new non-documented miscellaneous
