Recently, the State Council Development Research Center held a forum on “taking the lead in basically realizing agricultural modernization” in some areas in Jiangyin City. Based on the proposition of “taking the lead” and extensively exchanging information and experiences, the nature, connotation and ways of realizing agricultural modernization were discussed in depth. The symposium was chaired by Chen Xiwen, a member of the Party Committee of the State Council Development Research Center and from the Minister of Rural Affairs.
