In recent years, when extreme weather occurs due to excessive carbon emissions and people are thinking about the harm caused by large amounts of carbon emissions to human life, the concept of low-carbon building design came into being. However, the so-called “low-carbon emissions” that rely on high technology in high-rise reinforced concrete high-rise buildings are far from satisfactory. When we were struggling to find a low-carbon road out of buildings, we inadvertently discovered those memories that have become our losses. The pit cave tunnels in the Guanzhong region are the building modes that best meet the low-carbon concept. Even so, people still decided to abandon the low-carbon cave life and move into the reinforced concrete buildings that make life easier.... After we visited the field survey, the crux of the problem lies in: The lack of understanding of the low-carbon advantages; Second, the traditional cave-style lifestyle caused inconvenience to people’s lives. In view of this, this article takes the cave type cave dwelling in Guanzhong as an example, and elaborates the modern low-carbon life advantages of cave dwellings from the perspective of cave dwellings and low-carbon concepts as well as attempts to transform them into human settlements.
