福泽谕吉(1834-1901)是明治时期著名的启蒙思想家。众所周知,从幕末明治初期开始,他就通过翻译、著述活动,将欧美各国的事情介绍给广大日本民众,在推进近代日本的文明开化方面立下了不朽功勋。然而,福泽谕吉并非单纯的西洋文明的崇拜者与礼赞者,在不同的历史时期,他对西洋文明的认识评价亦有所不同。 Fukuzawa Yukichi (1834-1901) was a famous enlightenment thinker in the Meiji period. As we all know, from the early Meiji period, he introduced things in Europe and the United States to a large number of Japanese people through translation and writing activities, and made immortal contributions to the promotion of modern Japanese civilization. However, Fukuzawa Yukichi is not a mere admirer of Westerns and a voter. In different historical periods, his appraisal of Western civilization is also different.
