Objective: To observe the effect of malignant pleural effusion through the combination of Chinese and Western medicine and to summarize and analyze. METHODS: Patients (mostly secondary) admitted to our hospital from June 2014 to July 2016 who were diagnosed as pleural effusions were enrolled in this study. A total of 111 patients were randomized 111 patients with malignant pleural effusion were divided into A (observation group), B (control group) two groups. The treatment of group B (control group) used the traditional Western medical treatment, using chest drainage combined with chemotherapy in vivo (cisplatin injection into the thoracic cavity), and the treatment in group A (observation group) was conventional western medicine (Chest drainage combined with chemotherapy in vivo) combined with traditional Chinese medicine (oral decoction), and then observe and compare the degree of symptom relief in group A and B after receiving treatment. Results: The overall degree of remission after treatment was compared between the two groups. As a result, the overall remission rate was 67.27% in group A (observation group) and 50% in group B (control group) Comparing the degree of remission between the two groups, it can be concluded that the treatment effect of the treatment in group A (observation group) is better than that in group B (control group), P> 0.05, that is, the patients in both groups are treated The effect of the differences between each other has statistical significance. Conclusion: For patients with malignant pleural effusion, the combination of Chinese medicine and Western medicine plus chemotherapy is more effective in alleviating the disease and is more valuable in clinical practice than monotherapy.
