2009年12月23日,北京汽车工业控股有限责任公司正式宣布:公司以2亿美元完成收购萨博汽车相关知识产权,并将在未来3年之内投入330亿元人民币打造自主品牌,而在收购萨博相关资产基础上研发的新车型将于2011年全面上市。消息一出,北汽立即被媒体推上了中国企业海外并购的风口浪尖。有人认为,北汽与萨博完成的这项交易是2009年以来国内汽车企业收购海外先进整车成套技术和动力总成技术的第一个成功案例,可以看做是一次中国企业跨国并购的路径创新。也有人认为,北汽买到的是萨博公司的停产、淘汰车型,这笔生意并不划算。那么,这项国际收购对北汽到底是福是祸?背后又隐藏着什么样的玄机?
December 23, 2009, Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd. officially announced: the company completed the acquisition of SAAB Automotive related intellectual property rights for 200 million US dollars and will invest 33 billion yuan in the next three years to build its own brand, and in the acquisition Saab related assets based on the development of new models will be fully listed in 2011. As soon as the news came out, BAIC was immediately pushed by the media on the cusp of Chinese companies’ overseas mergers and acquisitions. Some people think that the deal completed by Beiqi and Saab is the first successful case of domestic auto companies acquiring the complete set of overseas advanced vehicle technology and powertrain technology since 2009 and can be regarded as a path innovation of Chinese enterprises in cross-border M & A.
