文人画发展历经三百余年,而文人画对于中国绘画的功过是非,有许多人谈过,有人支持,也有人反对。而到了晚清至民国初年,中国画发展陷入了困境,很多有识之士都对中国画衰败的原因进行了分析,而大部分人都认为是文人画导致了中国画的衰败。而徐悲鸿处于这个文化思潮中,不可能不受到影响。徐悲鸿对于文人画的解读必须要结合徐悲鸿的中国画改良思想来看,而对文人画的看法是他中国画改良思想的旁证基础。
The development of literati painting has lasted for more than three hundred years, while the literati painting has made a great deal of merits and demerits for Chinese painting. Many people have talked about it, some support it, and others oppose it. By the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, the development of Chinese painting was in a dilemma. Many people of insight have analyzed the reasons for the decline of Chinese painting, while most people think that it is the literati painting that led to the decline of Chinese painting. Xu Beihong in this cultural trend of thought, can not be unaffected. Xu Beihong’s interpretation of the literati painting must be combined with Xu Beihong’s thinking of Chinese painting reform. However, the view of the literati painting is the basis of his proof on the reformation of Chinese painting.
