西北国际电信线路,东起陕西潼关,西至霍尔果斯口岸,与原苏联线路连网,贯穿陕西、甘肃、新疆三省区,全长3600千米。这条线路的建设投资占当年邮电部基建投资的40％,占西北地区邮电基建投资的67％。1951年7月动工,当年11月底全线竣工。这是我国三年恢复时期的重大建设工程之一。担任这条线路施工的是邮电部长途线
Northwest International Telecom Line, east of Shaanxi Tongguan, west of Horgos port, with the former Soviet Union line network, throughout Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang provinces and autonomous regions, a total length of 3,600 km.
