Objective To investigate the effect of early preoperative ventilator assisted breathing on severe craniocerebral injury. Methods A total of 272 patients with severe craniocerebral injury who were admitted to our hospital from January 2006 to January 2009 were treated with ventilator assisted breathing in the early stage before operation as a treatment group (group A). The patients were given low-flow continuous nose Oxygen, as a control group (B group), comparative analysis of the two groups of treatment effect, while observing the survival of two groups of patients. Results According to the prognosis of GOS 6 months after treatment, the quality of life of patients in group A was better than that in group B, and there was a significant difference in mortality between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion Early preoperative ventilator assisted breathing can significantly reduce the mortality of patients with severe craniocerebral injury and improve the cure and survival rate.
