Aesthetic Effect of Orthodontic Mini-implants in Patients with Angle Class ⅡMalocclusion

Abstract： Objective  To investigate the aesthetic effect of orthodontic mini-implants in patients with Angle Class II malocclusion. Methods 103 patients with Angle Class II malocclusion in our hospital from December 2015 to December 2017 were enrolled， and randomly divided into two groups by random number table methods. Control group （n=51） received traditional orthodontic treatment， while study group （n=52） received orthodontic mini-implants. After 18 months of treatment， various indexes were compared， including treatment success rate， satisfaction， complication rate， overbite （OB）， and overjet （OJ）. Results  The correction rate and satisfaction of study group were significantly higher than those of control group （P0.05）. After treatment， OB and OJ were decreased in both groups， and were lower in study group than in control group （P0.05）， which was improved in both groups after treatment （P

安氏Ⅱ類错牙合畸形在临床中较为常见，临床表现为牙齿错位、牙齿排列不齐、面部畸形、颌骨形态位置异常、上下牙弓间合关系异常及牙釉质发育不全等，使患者下颌关节功能、牙周牙龈组织健康及面部美观受到严重影响[1]。
