Through the establishment of micro-ecosystems, the effects of Anodonta woodiana on the decontamination of heavy metals in freshwater fish ponds with different culture densities and processing times were studied. The results showed that the decontamination of Cladocera dorsalis had a significant effect on the purification of heavy metals (P <0.05) by treatment time and stocking density. The contents of Al, Cr, Fe, Ni, Zn and Mo were significantly decreased (P <0.05), and the maximum removal of Mn, Cu, As and Cd was not obvious and the content of Ba was increased The rates of clam culture density and processing time were respectively 31 ind./m~3 and 22.77 d, 40%, respectively, which were 63.0%, 78.0%, 12.7%, 100%, 80.6% and 4.8% ind./m ~ 3 and 19.78 d, the Cr and Zn removal rate can be increased to 80.3% and 81.8%. This study shows that the anodonta dorsalis has the potential for the purification of heavy metals in fish culture water.
