There is a saying in American film Forrest Gump that made us remember deeply and for many years did not forget. When the story was told in the early 1970s, Forrest Gump visited China as a table tennis player in the United States. When he returned to China, the reporter asked him what his deepest impression of China was. Gump responded that they did not have anything. In other words, the Chinese are very poor. This sentence deeply hurt our self-esteem. As a person born in the 1960s, we experienced the difficult period in our own time. Although childhood impressions are not wealthy for every household, we have no feeling of destitution and spiritual life is also very substantial. When we were adults in the 1990s, it was indeed uncomfortable to hear a foreigner comment on his childhood China.
