After November 1989, Czechoslovakia reformed the medical system, which was managed by the government plan, used taxation to raise funds, operated highly centralized and unified management modes, and provided free medical care. Now, medical services are not centralized and unified, and hospital ownership is expected to be transferred to communities, municipalities, churches, charities and private individuals. Almost all health leaders, including heads of hospitals and heads of hospitals, have made adjustments. Physicians will be paid according to their type and amount of work done. The most important reform is the establishment of an independent national medical insurance office that directly collects medical insurance costs from workers, employers, and government agencies that can negotiate with hospitals and physicians to determine the prices of medical services.
