For five consecutive years from 1997 to 2001, we monitored the disinfectant and UV lamps being used by 12 medical units in Beijing. The results are reported below. 1 Method 1 1 disinfectant bacterial contamination detection: aseptic method, with 9ml neutralizer plus 1ml disinfectant after mixing 1ml suspension was inoculated on nutrient agar medium incubator at 37 ℃ for 24 hours
