Objective: To study the killing toxicity and proliferation of lymphocytes after co-incubation of heat-treated tumor cells and mouse spleen lymphocytes. METHODS: H22 hepatoma cells were treated with common water bath and co-cultured with spleen lymphocytes, and then the cultured lymphocytes were challenged with H22 hepatoma cells. Results: Heat treated tumor cells can cause lymphocyte proliferation and can significantly enhance cytotoxicity. Conclusion: Heat treatment of tumor cells at 65°C for 30 minutes can directly activate lymphocytes and enhance its long-term cytotoxicity and toxicity. It is suggested that the heat-treated tumor cells can enhance and activate the cytotoxicity of splenic lymphocytes.
