伊凡·谢尔盖耶维奇·屠格涅夫是俄国十九世纪伟大的诗人、批判现实主义作家和剧作家。出生于世袭贵族家庭的屠格涅夫,从小目睹了地主阶级的凶残专横,因而产生对农奴悲惨处境的深切同情。《木木》是屠格涅夫在被囚禁之中写作的一片短篇小说,也是他最为出色的一部短篇小说,在这篇小说中,每一个人物形象都有各自突出的一些特点,作者正是通过对作品中各个人物形象的塑造来影射当时社会的悲哀。
