我和阿垅相识,是1950年在天津文联。接着又一起编辑文协刊物《文艺学习》和《天津文艺》,几年间朝夕相见,无所不谈。后来我调北京工作,仍短不了往来相聚,相知不谓不深。回忆起我们相处的那些日子,觉得有不少可记述的。阿垅是一位很出色的编辑,他是我们刊物编辑部的负责人,拥有编务最后决定权,但是他从不行使这一职权,凡事与大家商量,绝不个人专断,很有民主作风。看稿、改稿、退稿、提意见、写编后等等,这些具体工作他都干,而且处理得井井有条。凡不采用的稿件,不超过十天,他准能提出意见退还作者,手头很快,干净利索。他还经常邀请作者谈话,如发现有培养前途者,便尽力帮助,绝不因为是初次投稿的无名小辈而不屑一顾。经他的指导和帮助而成名成才者,在天津不乏其
I met Imam, in 1950 in Tianjin Literary Federation. Then edited with the literary journal “literary study” and “Tianjin literature and art”, a few years between the day and night meet, talk about everything.
