目前全國小學教師的一般情况,有如下幾種: 第一種是:在老解放區里,大多数教師是在抗日戰爭和解放戰爭中湧現出來的。他們經過了各種鬥爭鍛鍊,有明確的人民立場,和爲新民主主義教育服務的热忱。但由於一般的文化、業務水平低,又長期没有很好的學習,政治理論水平也受到很大限制,因此他們在工作上發生很多困難,迫切地要求學習。其中一些優秀分子,經過學習,是可能成為新中國小學教育的骨幹的。第二種是:在老解放區里工作多年,文化水平比較高,業務上有舊的一套,但由於種種原因,政治上進步不快,對教育業務固步自封,缺乏熱情。這種人為數不多。
