扎染古称扎缬,又称绞缬。是我国最早的独特的防染技术之一,属于我国宝贵的非物质文化遗产。四川扎染(蜀缬)历史悠久,在民间印染中更是独领风骚,早在唐朝就名噪四方,不仅在古籍《碎金》中独以地名定其扎染名称,而且在不少史书中也有提到。本文将对四川扎染(蜀缬)艺术的各个方面进行研究,包括其材料、针法、地域特点等,并把重点放在手工扎染的纹样以及植物染色制作工艺的具体表现特点上。
