Based on the TSMC 0.25μm CMOS process, a 14-bit 400 MS / s D / A converter based on a 2.5 V supply voltage is designed using a segmented switching current architecture. The D / A converter includes a high-precision bandgap reference, high-speed switch driver, and an improved Cascode unit current-source circuit for improved performance. The D / A converter has an integrated nonlinearity (INL) and differential non-linearity (DNL) of less than 0.5 LSB. Its Spurious-Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) reaches 85.4 dB at a 1,99.8 MHz output signal frequency at a 400 MHz sampling frequency.
