Objective To investigate the effects of different blood pressure levels on the incidence of stroke during artificial cold spells. Methods 360 rats were divided into two groups: cold and non-cold, and then divided into four subgroups: normal pressure group, 160 ~ 199mmHg, 200 ~ 219mmHg and ≥220mmHg according to the blood pressure level. Results The incidence of stroke in the blood pressure <220mmHg and ≥ 220mmHg of rats, cold wave group and non-cold group were significantly different. Cerebral arterial disease has a higher rate of stroke. Logistic regression found that only prehospitalization of hypertension was the only independent risk factor for stroke. Conclusion Hypertension and cold wave are closely related to the incidence of stroke. Cerebral arterial disease is the basis of the disease. Hypertension is an independent risk factor for stroke, and cold wave is an important initiating factor.
