Due to the inability to realize his political ideal, he turned himself to literature and realized the value of life in “Li Yan” and became a famous ancient Chinese writer. This article discusses the unique natural landscape of Yongzhou and its strong historical and cultural background, which plays an important role in Liu Zongyuan’s accomplishment of life surpassing and gives a high evaluation of Liu Zongyuan’s literary achievement and position.
