菠菜又称波斯菜,相传是由波斯国在唐朝时传入我国的,故有悠久的栽培历史。菠菜是春冬两季的主要蔬菜,尤其是春季种植较多。据分析,每500克鲜菠菜中含维生索A12.2毫克、维生素C155毫克、蛋白质10毫克、铁12.5毫克,在菠菜的根中,还含有较多的淀粉和生物碱。祖国医学认为,菠菜味甘性冷滑,具有补血、活血、健脑、利胃肠,调中气的功效,主要能治疗糖尿病、高血压、红眼病、夜盲症、便秘、贫血等疾病。临床上常用菠菜治病的验方如下:
