莺琼盆地是一个年轻的新生代盆地,高温超压是该盆地的特点,盆地平均地温梯度高达4~5℃/100 m(明显高于世界各时代沉积盆地的3.0℃/100 m,Waples,1980;Wood),盆地下第三系源岩普遍发育强烈超压。高温高压的地质背景,使得其海相源岩赋存的有机质演化及成烃作用有着独特特点。
The Yiongqiong Basin is a young Cenozoic basin characterized by high temperature and overpressure. The average geothermal gradient in the basin is as high as 4 ~ 5 ℃ / 100 m (obviously higher than 3.0 ℃ / 100 m in the sedimentary basins around the world, Waples, 1980; Wood). Strong overpressure was generally developed in the Lower Tertiary source rocks in the basin. The geological background of high temperature and high pressure makes the organic matter evolution and hydrocarbon generation of the marine source rocks have unique characteristics.
