着重阐述了ｂｉｔ的否定含义及其用法．同时也探讨了在一些从句和短语中ｂｕｔ不具有否定含义的例外情况．ｂｕｔ一词除了作并列连词引导语义相反的成分，表示“但是”、“可是”之外，还可作关系代词和主从连词引导各种从句，此时ｂｕｔ具有否定含义，它的这一用法主要是用于否定词或具有否定意义的词后，它和主句中的否定词一起构成双重否定结构．由于ｂｕｔ本身不具有否定词汇的意义，它构成否定句子的用法比较复杂，仅限于一些特殊的结构和语境中．ｂｕｔ有时与疑问词连用也具有否定含义．
