Introduction: The rise of positive psychology movement has opened a new chapter in psychology research. Researchers have applied positive psychology to their own fields of research. In this paper, positive psychology is applied to the selection and assessment of grass-roots civil servants, daily party and government work. Through the excavation of grassroots cadres’ own positive qualities, they should guide them to form a correct and reasonable understanding of grassroots work, cultivate their positive and optimistic qualities, obtain higher sense of self-efficacy with high tenacity and create a kind of harmony Motivated work environment so as to enhance the efficiency and enthusiasm for serving the people and enhance the status and recognition of civil servants in the minds of the people and the masses.
