在青藏高原高寒草甸地区中华羊茅人工草地上使用2,4—D丁酯灭除双子叶杂草的研究结果表明,适合该地区使用的施药量范围为0.2~0.4毫升/米~2,6月下旬一次施药即可有效控制杂草危害,杂草灭除率达80%以上。在0~0.4毫升/米~2施药量范围内,植物群落主要种群的密度、盖度、高度和地上生物量等均随施药量的改变而发生明显变化。阔叶杂草的上述指际与施药量呈负相关,禾本科牧草的上述指标则与施药量呈正相关。经相关指数检验效果良好。生产试验表明,使用2,4—D丁酯灭除杂草可使牧草产量提高一倍。
