All water located below the ground is called groundwater. It is also an indispensable natural asset in the work, agricultural production, national defense construction and people’s daily life. The source of groundwater is rain and snow, which penetrate downwards from the ground and exist in the pores or crevices of the soil and stones, forming groundwater. Another source of groundwater is the water vapor that separates from magma activities, and often condenses into groundwater in the pores of underground rocks. Groundwater has the following three different situations: ① water that exists in loose soil is called soil water; ② water in rock pores or cracks is called fissure water; ③ in areas where special rocks such as limestone and dolomite are distributed, Due to the dissolution of groundwater on these rocks and the formation of underground channels, groundwater in which the underflow, called submarine water.
