Automation is facing fundamental changes. Based on a unified communications technology, users’ requirements can be met at the best cost / benefit ratio - interface with common management to order, exchange production data, and process orders over the Internet, remotely perform services and maintain measurements. It also requires greater flexibility in production equipment to enable faster and more efficient conversion to the production of new products.
