在砂锡矿中,有一部分矿体伴生着大量的铅(锡品位0.2~0.4%,铅品位2~4%)经过重选产出铅品位30~35%、锡品位10~18%的铅锡混合精矿,再经浮选分离获得铅品位40%以上的铅精矿和锡品位30%以上的锡精矿分别送冶炼。铅锡分离方法目前有浮铅抑锡的硫化浮选法和浮锡抑铅的甲苯肿酸法。浮铅抑锡具有药剂来源容易,价格便宜的优点,但锡产品品位不高,还需用摇床再次处理,而且尚有一部分中矿不好处理。
