On April 22, 1915, at 5 p.m., everything in the front of Ypres was shadowed by the setting sun. Suddenly, a huge yellow-green smoke came to life on the 6-kilometer German position and fluttered into the French front across the road. German soldiers wearing a simple gas mask, carefully followed behind the smoke group set foot on the French position. The German soldiers were stunned by the immediate scene: The bodies of the Allies soldier were all-out and their faces were scruffy with their arms stretched long and long; when they were not dead, they struggled breathing heavily on the ground, coughing and vomiting with a yellow-green mucus ... After a long day, the Germans did the same for a lawsuit. The two chemical attacks caused a total of 15,000 casualties among the allied nations, and both sides were deeply shocked by this war of aggression. This is the first human use of chemical weapons on a large scale. German used chlorine.
