“中华老字号”品牌名称英译研究——以湖北省为例

“中华老字号”是历史悠久的优秀品牌。本文以信息性、可接受性等语篇特征标准为基础,分析湖北省“中华老字号”的英译策略,阐释“中华老字号”的命名缘由及文化内涵,探讨新译名的命名原则及命名模式。“中华老字号”的英译,应注重信息性以及是否明确传递标识性信息及类别性信息等问题。“中华老字号”的英译还应注重译名的可接受性,关注受众的价值观、审美心理、接受习惯等,使英译名易于接受和传播。 “Chinese old name ” is a long history of outstanding brand. Based on the textual characteristics such as information and acceptability, this article analyzes the English translation strategies of the “old Chinese characters” in Hubei Province, and explains the naming reasons and cultural connotation of the “old Chinese characters” and the nomenclature of the new Chinese names And naming patterns. “The old Chinese name ” English translation, should pay attention to information and whether it is clearly passed the identification of information and category information and other issues.
