我们现在骑行的自行车十分笨重,一般有十来千克,要想拎起来很费劲,即便是最轻便的折叠自行车也有五六千克。自行车太重不但不利于我们携带上地铁和公交车,而且骑行起来也很费劲。因此,减轻自行车的重量成为自行车设计师的一个重要任务。最近,美国一批年轻的研究人员利用碳纤维网架结构来设计自行车,他们制造出了只有2.5千克重的轻便自行车,大大地减轻了自行车的重量。
The bicycles we are riding are very heavy, usually 10 kilograms, to pick up very strenuous, even the most lightweight folding bicycles have five or six kilograms. Too much bicycle is not only bad for us to carry on the subway and bus, but also very hard to ride. Therefore, reducing the weight of a bicycle becomes an important task for bicycle designers. Recently, a group of young researchers in the United States used carbon fiber grid structure to design bicycles. They manufactured a lightweight bicycle weighing only 2.5kg and greatly reduced the weight of bicycles.
